Abstract

Cultural shifts in the era of modernization reflect the profound transformation of social values, traditions, and lifestyles under the influence of industrialization, urbanization, and technological advancement. Modernization has redefined how individuals think, behave, and interact, leading to changes in cultural norms, family structures, and social institutions. This paper examines the impact of modernization on culture, focusing on the transition from traditional to modern values, the role of technology and media, and the emergence of global cultural patterns. It also explores the tension between cultural preservation and change, highlighting how societies adapt to new influences while attempting to retain their cultural identity. The study argues that modernization is a dynamic process that reshapes culture in both positive and challenging ways, influencing identity, social relations, and collective consciousness in contemporary society.
