Abstract

A student's academic success is greatly influenced by parental involvement, which is essential for promoting favourable educational results. Parental involvement fosters a nurturing atmosphere that encourages intrinsic drive, self-control, and a passion for education. A wide range of actions fall under this umbrella of involvement, from helping with homework and attending school events to encouraging open dialogue with instructors and keeping tabs on academic performance. Students whose parents are actively involved in their education tend to do better academically, have more regular school attendance, and develop stronger social skills, according to numerous studies. In addition, when parents are involved, their children develop resilience and self-confidence, which helps them deal with academic difficulties. Ensuring that family and school values and expectations are aligned is another benefit. Socioeconomic position, educational background, and cultural setting are some of the elements that commonly impact the type and level of parental participation. Maximising the benefits of parental involvement and contributing to equitable and sustainable academic attainment for all pupils requires addressing these inequities.
