Worldwide, the rise of the digital economy has been a game-changer in terms of economic growth and development. It describes the monetary pursuits made possible by digital tools including data analytics, the web, mobile phones, and artificial intelligence. Traditional business models have been greatly impacted, along with productivity and market efficiency, by the fast growth of digital infrastructure and platforms, which have been bolstered by giants like Amazon and Google. e-commerce, innovation, digital financial services, and digital infrastructure are some of the most important aspects of the digital economy that contribute to economic growth. In developing countries in particular, the widespread use of digital technologies has the triple benefit of lowering transaction costs, increasing financial inclusion, and facilitating speedier communication. Additionally, it helps SMEs gain access to international markets, which in turn boosts production and creates jobs. Digital inequality, cybersecurity threats, and regulatory worries are just a few of the problems that the digital economy brings. The disparity between rich and poor areas can grow wider as a result of unequal access to digital infrastructure, which in turn limits the inclusive benefits of digital transformation. Data privacy and the commercial domination of big digital companies are other pressing challenges that call for strong regulatory responses.
