Digital evidence includes emails, text messages, call records, CCTV footage, GPS data, social media content, electronic documents, metadata, and online transaction records that can establish facts and support judicial decision-making. the role of digital evidence in the modern criminal justice system by analyzing its importance in crime detection, investigation, prosecution, and judicial processes. The paper explores the contribution of digital forensics, cybersecurity tools, and technological advancements in collecting, preserving, authenticating, and presenting electronic evidence in courts of law. the increasing use of digital evidence in cases involving cybercrime, financial fraud, terrorism, identity theft, organized crime, and other criminal activities.
